A battle involving around 700 inmates broke out at a prison within the Isaan province Sisaket over the weekend, significantly injuring three of the prisoners. Ten other inmates had been also injured.
At around Mere on Sunday, as they were finishing breakfast, more than seven-hundred prisoners divided into two sides and began preventing, some utilizing toothbrushes that they had sharpened as a weapon.
Around 50 law enforcement officials were referred to as to the jail to break up the struggle, which took about an hour to control. The injured inmates were sent to Sisaket Hospital for treatment.
