A man wearing what seems to be a fancy dress of Joker from the Batman comics and movies allegedly went on a stabbing spree on a Tokyo practice Halloween night time, injuring 17 people. The prepare needed to make an emergency stop and riders escaped the train via the home windows.
The alleged attacker, 24 year outdated Kyota Hattori, was arrested and charged with attempted murder. He was quoted as saying that he had failed in work and had challenges along with his pals and relationships. The suspect also mentioned that he “wanted to kill people and be given the demise penalty.” Surge is also reported to have stated that he had been “thinking from round June of being sentenced to dying.”
The assault began round 8pm Halloween night time on a crowded 10-car train from Hachioji station to Shinjuku in central Tokyo. Kyota allegedly advised investigators that he chose this route because he knew it will be busy, and in addition he knew that it didn’t make many stops. The suspect is also believed to have used lighter fluid to start a fireplace on the train.
Of the 17 individuals injured in the assault, a 70 yr outdated man was stabbed within the chest and is now in critical situation. The different victims, growing older between teenagers to those of their 60s, sustained knife wounds and accidents from smoke inhalation.
Kyota also is quoted as having said that he adores the Joker, a villain from the Batman comics and films. When the assault happened, he was carrying a green shirt and purple swimsuit as a Joker costume.
